Health Care Professionals

To be compliant during the 36th ECNP Congress with Spanish Law 44/2003 regarding rulings for Health Care Professionals (HCP's), participants are requested during registration to indicate whether they are a Health Care Professional (HCP), non-Health Care Professional (non-HCP) or an employee of a pharmaceutical company.

The information of non-HCP status will be printed on the badge of the in-person participant and will be part of the participant profile to access parts of the congress platform. The non-HCP status might exclude access to certain industry sessions financially supported by pharma companies and (virtual) exhibition stands, as required by Spanish legislation.

In Spain, the definition of an HCP comprises professionals that

  • (pre-)graduated in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and veterinary medicine
  • graduate in nursery, physiotherapy, occupation therapy, paedology, optics and optometry, speech therapy and human nutrition
  • trained as superior technician in pathologic anatomy and cytology, dietetics, dental hygiene, radiotherapy and auxiliary units of nursery care and pharmacy all of them duly registered in Professional Associations acknowledged by the public administration.

The responsibility of indicating the correct Health Care Professional status is with the participant.
