Associate members are also encouraged to apply, because the ACNP Council again welcomes ten ECNP Early Career Scientists to attend their annual meeting on the virtual platform this year.
Please note that all invited participants must meet one of the following criteria with respect to career stage at the time of the invitation request:
- At least a 2nd year post-doctoral fellow (MD or PhD) or a 3rd or 4th year resident on a research track.
- Faculty at Instructor level (or equivalent) or above.
- Scientists in federal government positions (e.g. NIH, NSF, FDA, ARPA-H, VA, DoD) are considered equivalent to either of the above criteria.
- Industry professionals demonstrating a clear level of leadership and/or responsibility.
To show your interest, send a short motivation statement (max 250 words) explaining your eligibility to attend by e-mail to the ECNP Office by 7 July 2026 at the latest. In your motivation statement, please also indicate which of the above eligibility criteria you meet and briefly explain how your current role fits this requirement.
The ECNP members will be selected based on their individual contributions to the work and mission of ECNP, taking into consideration the length of commitment (e.g. of membership) to and extent of involvement (service on committees, attendance of meetings) in ECNP.
Within two weeks after the above-mentioned deadline, you will be informed about the decision. There will be no correspondence possible on the outcome.
Please note: no ECNP or ACNP funding is attached to the selection. The selected ECNP members will receive a reduced registration rate.
In the event you are selected ACNP will send you the details for electronic registration, after which you must make and pay your own arrangements.
In addition, for poster presentations, the rules of ACNP still apply. The deadline for abstract submission is 27 August 2026. You can find further details on the ACNP website.
