The term of service is three years. Members can self-nominate for a second term. Decision is made by the ECNP Executive Committee.

Tasks

The task of an Abstract and Poster Committee member is to:

  • Review congress abstracts (max 60 per member), mostly in the categories not covered by the Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP)
  • Review the abstracts for the ECNP Workshop in Applied Neuroscience, if needed
  • Review selected abstracts to determine the ECNP Excellence Award winners
  • Select posters for the ECNP Poster Award
  • Review the process of the abstract submission/poster presentation

Time commitment

Committee members meet on the first day of the ECNP Congress and have contact during the abstract submission and review process (April-June and September) and during each poster session at the congress. They may also be asked to review abstracts in November for the ECNP Workshop on Applied Neuroscience. Committee members commit to attending all three meetings during the committee’s term, to reviewing abstracts, and to giving input (by e-mail) on specific topics, as requested.

In return, committee members receive free registration to the ECNP Congress, three nights’ accommodation and travel reimbursement according to the guidelines.
