Traveling to/from Munich
By train
ECNP encourages all participants to travel by train to the ECNP Congress, as it is one of the most sustainable transportation options.
Munich is well connected by long‑distance Deutsche Bahn (DB) services. From Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), the U2 underground line provides a direct connection to Messestadt West, located next to the ICM. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes. The U2 runs every 5 minutes during peak hours, and every 10 minutes at other times.
By plane
Munich Airport (MUC) is located around 42 km from the ICM.
Transport options from the airport:
- S‑Bahn (S1 or S8): Frequent departures to the city centre, travel time 45–60 minutes, with onward connection to the U2 for the ICM.
- Taxi: Journey time outside peak hours approx. 35 minutes. Please ask the taxi driver for the fixed price to the ICM (€ 94.00).
No Airport-Shuttle available.
Public transport
The ICM is directly accessible via the U2 underground line, station Messestadt West. Trains run frequently from early morning until late evening.
Munich’s public transport network (MVV) includes U‑Bahn, S‑Bahn, trams and buses, making travel within the city straightforward and convenient.
Taxi
Taxis are widely available throughout Munich and at the airport. A fixed‑price fare of € 94.00 applies for journeys between Munich Airport and the ICM, € 43.00 between the ICM and the city center, main station. Taxi stands are located directly outside the ICM entrances.
Parking at the ICM Munich
Parking is available at Parkhaus West, Paul‑Henri‑Spaak‑Straße 6, 81829 Munich, on the days of the event.
The parking garage offers 80 electric charging stations and one supercharger. Charging is free of cost; standard parking fees apply (€ 21.00/day). Charging stations cannot be reserved in advance.
Access and badges
Each in-person registered participant will receive a name badge upon arrival. For organisational and security reasons, we request that all participants and industry partners wear their badges at all times during the congress activities. Re-print due to loss of badges or due to misspelled names can be done at the registration desk at a cost of € 100 per badge (VAT excluded).

No (professional) filming crews or photographers are allowed under any circumstances in the session rooms or poster area, except those hired by the 39th ECNP Congress foundation.
General photography and filming
In the past, participants of the ECNP Congress have expressed concerns about being photographed or filmed. Because of this, persons in possession of press badge are restricted to film and photograph inside the venue at a designated location. Please note that this is discretionary of the 39th ECNP Congress foundation, and if we receive requests from participants, or if filming/photography/recording is regarded as intrusive, then we may have to withdraw permission. Filming in the exhibition area is only allowed in the stand of the company that has ordered the filming or photography. It is not allowed to film or take photographs in the general or catering areas of the exhibition.
