Suicide Prevention Network

Dedicating to advance research in suicidology through a multi-perspective and interdisciplinary approach, integrating biological, psychological, social, and clinical knowledge. Its mission is to enhance understanding of the complex factors contributing to suicide and to develop improved prevention strategies, diagnosis, and treatment options. The Network fosters collaborative, multi-centre studies and engages with both researchers and clinicians to drive impactful research and intervention.

History

The ECNP Suicide Network was initiated in 2009. The first step in its establishment was the formation of a steering group of experts and the selection of several European public health clinical centres and laboratories to participate in multi-centre studies. The network has since grown to include leading experts in suicidology, focusing on organising scientific symposia, developing research protocols, writing grant applications, and producing scientific publications.
