ECNP Network Advisory Panel member

Network Advisory Panel member application is closed. ECNP is no longer seeking ECNP-members to join the newly established ECNP Network Advisory Panel.

About the ECNP Network Advisory Panel

ECNP Networks bring together leading experts in applied neuroscience, fostering collaboration and generating valuable content for the ECNP Knowledge Hub, the Congress, and joint research initiatives, including grant proposals and collaborative projects. With the increasing role of Networks within ECNP, ensuring their optimal functioning and impact is essential.

To strengthen this structure, ECNP is
establishing a Network Advisory Panel, consisting of six to eight members. This panel will guard the overall development of the ECNP Networks, identify gaps in research topics, evaluate collaboration and output, and provide recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the panel will conduct formal evaluations of the Networks' performances.

The Network Advisory Panel will work alongside the
Networks Board, which focuses on operational and strategic matters, membership applications, and budget considerations through bi-weekly meetings, and is the liaison towards the ECNP Executive Committee. The Advisory Panel will complement this work by ensuring objective and inclusive decision-making, helping Networks evolve effectively.

As an ECNP Network Advisory Panel you will:

1

Provide strategic input to keep ECNP Networks dynamic and effective.

2

Evaluate performance of existing Networks, identify emerging missing topics and launch new initiatives.

3

Optimise Network activities to enhance research impact and innovation.

4

Connect with other Advisory Panel members, exchange ideas, and drive collaborative research, unlocking new opportunities.

5

Support the ECNP Networks Board in optimising Network activities and impact.

6

Receive complimentary registration, accommodation, and travel to the annual ECNP Congress and bi-annual Networks Taskforce meeting according to ECNP guidelines.

Time commitment

  • Participate in up to four online Advisory Panel meetings per year.

  • Review evaluation reports on existing ECNP Networks and assess new Network proposals.

  • Identify gaps in research topics and help initiate open calls for new Networks in emerging areas.
