Purpose and goals
The ECA Board governs the Early Career Academy (ECA).

Composition
The Board comprises ECA representatives, and the current, past and future ECNP presidents.

Tasks

• Shaping the vision and strategy of the ECA
• Evaluating ECA applications and selecting new members
• Maintaining connectivity and disseminating information among the interest areas
• Overseeing its various activities
• Acting as an advisory panel to provide input on activities and initiatives related to Early Career Scientists (ECSs) within ECNP

Former Early Career Advisory Panel
The ECA Board replaces the former Early Career Advisory Panel (ECAP). The ECAP was founded in 2013 to advise on the needs of future members of the College, to give input on development of ECSs activities and initiatives, to help generate activities for Early Career Scientists and clinicians, and to receive feedback on current activities.

ECAP achievements

• Involvement of organising several ECS activities during the annual Congress, such as the Science-on-the-Rocks event, Career Development sessions, Match-making Translational Speed-dating Session (MYTM) and the ECS WhatsApp group
• Development the ECNP Research Internship Project
