Each year, ECNP recognises outstanding contributions to applied and translational neuroscience through a range of prestigious awards, presented during the ECNP Congress.

Neuropsychopharmacology Award

This award recognises exceptional research achievements in applied and translational neuroscience. The award is granted each year, alternating between preclinical and clinical research. The 2025 award is in pre-clinical research.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The award recognises individuals who have made career-long contributions to building the field of applied and translational neuroscience in Europe, at the national or international level.

Poster Award

Outstanding posters presented at the congress are awarded the ECNP Poster Award.

Alessandro Zuddas Award for Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology

This award recognises excellent research in the treatment and prevention of disorders of the brain for children and adolescents, including preclinical research, and clinical science, and evidence-based approaches to prevention.

For Early Career Scientists (ECSs):

Excellence Award

This award encourages Early Career Scientists (ECS) resident in Europe and/or residents of a European Country with a Developing Country (CDE) to present a poster during the annual  ECNP Congress.

Rising Star Award

This award honours up to two Early Career Scientists annually whose research in applied and translational neuroscience has the potential to advance the science, treatment and prevention of disorders of the brain.
