Tasks

  • Developing the ECNP Congress Educational Update Sessions
The committee contributes to the programme for the Educational Update Sessions held during the ECNP Congress. These sessions focus on clinical practice and are designed to be interactive, using a Q&A system through the congress app to encourage dialogue between participants and presenters.
  • Shaping content for the ECNP Knowledge hub
The committee provides input on ECNP’s digital content strategy, helping to organise, source and further optimize learning materials for the ECNP Knowledge hub.
  • Overseeing ECNP’s educational initiatives
The committee advises the Executive Committee on implementing ECNP’s educational mission. This includes refining the overall strategy, designing effective programmes, and ensuring the use of state-of-the-art platforms and tools.
The chair of the Educational Committee serves on the Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) of the ECNP Congress.

Time commitment

The Educational Committee meets twice a year: once in person during the ECNP Congress in October to discuss the Educational Update Sessions and brainstorm new topics, and once via video conference in January to finalize the Educational Update Sessions for submission to the SPC. Between meetings, the committee is regularly consulted for feedback, including reviewing course proposals for the Knowledge Hub. Committee members must attend all meetings and calls and may be asked to provide input via email. ECNP covers travel expenses and one night's accommodation for committee members attending the Congress.
