1. How do I register for the hybrid congress?
You can register by filling out the registration form. At the start of the registration process you will be asked to either login with your personal My ECNP account or create a new ECNP account first. It is not possible to register via e-mail or telephone.

2. What is the hybrid ECNP congress?
You have a choice how to participate in the 34th ECNP Congress. You can attend it in two entirely different ways: in-person in Lisbon or online. Learn more about our all-new hybrid congress format and what it offers you.

3. What is the difference between in-person and online participants?
In-person participants join the congress in-person in Lisbon, Portugal. Online participants enjoy most of the congress online from their home or office. In-person participants however also have access to online congress content. Please see more information on what is offered for each participants type.

4. What is the difference between in-person and online registration?
With in-person registration you can join the congress in-person in Lisbon and you have access to the online congress content.
With an online registration you follow most of the congress from your home or office through an online portal. Please see more information on what is included in each registration type.

5. Cancellations and revision of registration types from in-person to online participation and vice versa
In the event of cancellation or revision of registration types, written notification must be sent by e-mail. Please see cancellation policy at terms and conditions.

6. Who should register with the Regular fee?
Regular fee is for psychiatrists, neuroscientists, neurologists and psychologists, unless they fall under the category of the Early Career Scientists (ECS) or residents of a Country with Developing Economy (CDE). In that case, they can register with the ‘Reduced (ECS or CDE)’ or ‘ECS nominated by Ordinary ECNP member’ fees. Please see more information on our special incentives page.

7. Are there any discounts for individuals and groups?

8. Why am I charged the regular fee, although I registered for the reduced fee?
If you registered for a reduced fee but you are not entitled to this fee, the regular fee will be charged.

9. Can I register for only for a specific session?
It is not possible to register for a specific session. Please see more information on what is included in each registration type: in-person and online.

10. Can I become an ECNP member at the same time when registering for the congress?
No, you have to first become a member and then register. Your membership will be activated immediately if payment is done by credit card. If payment by bank transfer is selected, membership will only be activated once full payment has been received. Please see more information on our special incentives page.

11. How does group registration work?
Please read the detailed group registration process for group coordinators. It includes information about voucher codes, additional deadlines, badge pick-up, and etc.

12. What is the registration process of abstract submitters?
When submitting an abstract you are asked to wait with registration until the outcome of the abstract review is known. Please see details under ‘Abstract submitters’ on our special incentives page.

13. I am a journalist, how can I register for the congress?
Participation in the congress is free of charge for journalists but requires proof of status and registration. On how to register as a journalist please visit our press and media  page.

14. How do I receive an invitation letter for Visa application?
In-person participants may need a letter of invitation from the congress organisers in order to obtain a visa for entry into Portugal. It is not an official invitation covering fees and/or any other expenses or financial support from the congress but to assist participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the 34th ECNP Congress.

Participants should contact the nearest local Embassy or Consulate of Portugal to determine the appropriate timing and conditions of the visa application. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to take care on time of any visa requirements and the organisers are not to be held responsible for the outcome of the visa application.

Invitation letters can be downloaded through the Registration Portal after full payment of the registration has been received. Please go to your Registration Portal, open your registration, click on ‘Overview’ button, then on ‘Request Visa letter’ and follow the instructions.

15. Is catering included in the registration fee of in-person participants?
Coffee, tea and lunch are included in the registration fee and are available to all in-person congress participants as indicated on the programme schedule.

16. Is insurance included in my registration?
No insurance is included. The organisers will not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. It is highly recommended that all participants carry proper health and travel insurance.

17. How do I receive Certificate of Attendance?

Only registered participants who attended the congress either in-person or online during the dates between 2 October 2021 and 13 January 2022 can download their Certificate of Attendance via their My ECNP portal. For participants who did not attend the congress before 13 January 2022, no certificate will be generated.

18. Can children attend the congress?
Children are not permitted in the session rooms, poster area or in the exhibition area at the venue.

19. Is the congress venue accessible for disabled persons?
The congress venue is equipped with facilities for disabled persons.

20. Can I make a hotel reservation for the congress via ECNP?
c’accommodation (trademark of Colloquium Brussels) is the appointed official housing agency for the 34th ECNP Congress Hybrid, 2-5 October 2021, Lisbon, Portugal and is the only company offering accommodation on behalf of ECNP. 21. In which time zone is the 34th ECNP Congress Hybrid taking place?

The congress takes place according to the Lisbon time zone, Western European Summer Time (WEST).

22. What is the official language of the 34th ECNP Congress Hybrid?
The official language of the 34th ECNP Congress Hybrid is English. No translation and/or subtitles will be provided during the sessions.
