Horizon 2020

Horizon2020Horizon 2020 was the largest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). By coupling research and innovation, Horizon 2020 helped to achieve this with its emphasis on excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges. The goal was to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removed barriers to innovation and made it easier for the public and private sectors to work together in delivering innovation.

Draft "pre-publication" work programmes for 2016-2017 have been made available by the European Commission. These documents have not yet been endorsed by the EC however they provide participants with the expected main lines of the work programme 2016-2017. A new EU Horizon2020 Programme proposal (‘CoCA’) was submitted in October 2014. The outcome was successful. Further information can be found here.
