ECNP School of Child and

The ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology has been established to encourage and spread excellence in clinical neuropsychopharmacology among child and adolescent psychiatrists.
A select number of participants will be offered an interactive week with an international faculty of experts in basic and clinical paediatric neuropsychopharmacology.
Participants are selected by the chair of the school, with two to three potential candidates per country, on the basis of their career potential. A maximum of 50 early career psychiatrists are accepted and their accommodation costs are covered by ECNP.

Wednesday afternoon is a free afternoon, so participants can enjoy the beautiful city of Venice.
Registration (for selected participants) will take place on Sunday 31 March from 16.30-17.00, followed by the opening session and the first lectures. The programme finishes on Friday 5 April around lunchtime.

The school is intended for outstanding, 'up and coming’ young psychiatrists who aspire to lead the profession in their home country in the coming years.
Applicants with substantial research training may apply during their residency (preferable after at least 2 years of clinical practice).
Applicants who have completed residency should normally not have completed more than 6 years in full time practice.
The school is only for residents in Europe (Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus).
Applications will be considered individually and on its merits. A personal statement to explain, in your own words, why you should attend, is mandatory.
Please note that it is not possible to participate in more than one school of ECNP.

The ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology 2018 took place in Venice, Italy, on 8-13 April 2018. ECNP provided a unique opportunity to 47 participants to interact with an international faculty of experts in basic and clinical paediatric neuropsychopharmacology, over a span of one week.
