General information

Single rooms have been arranged on San Servolo island for the duration of the School period (check-in: 27 March, check-out: 1 April). Accommodation costs are covered by ECNP.

In case of cancellation, participants are asked to notify the ECNP Office via e-mail as soon as possible.

Certificate of attendance
The certificate of attendance will be available after the School via the My ECNP portal on the ECNP website.

Covid-19 information
ECNP is closely monitoring the official Covid-19 restrictions and requirements in Italy. For more information on the current situation in Italy visit this page. In due time participants will be informed on the measures in force at the time of the meeting.

ECNP requests speakers and presenters to disclose potential conflicts of interest. This will allow the audience to take potential conflicts of interest into account when assessing the objectivity of the presentation.

Speakers and presenters are requested to disclose potential conflicts of interest regarding their current presentation in the first slide of their presentation.

Potential conflicts of interest can involve: grants, honoraria, shares, paid positions on advisory boards etc.

It is highly recommended that all participants carry proper individual travel and health insurance.

The official language will be English. No translation will be provided.

The ECNP School will take place at San Servolo island.

Breakfasts and lunches are included (except lunch on Wednesday), served in the self-service restaurant on the island. Two dinners are organised for participants: on Sunday there is a welcome dinner and on Thursday there is a farewell dinner. All other dinners are at the participant’s own expense. It is possible to have dinner in the self-service restaurant on San Servolo island.

Passport and visa information
A valid passport is required to enter Italy. Please note that there are visa requirements for visitors from a number of countries. For detailed information, participants are advised to contact the Italian embassy in their country of residence.

If a letter of invitation is required for the purpose of obtaining a visa, this can be provided by the ECNP Office. It can be requested by contacting the ECNP Office via e-mail.

ECNP programme

The programme starts on Sunday 27 March with the registration from 16.00-16.30, followed by the opening session and the first lectures. The programme finishes on Friday 1 April around lunchtime.

Wednesday afternoon is a free afternoon, so participants can enjoy the beautiful city of Venice.

Presence at the School
Participants have to be present at all sessions, from Sunday evening until the end of the last session on Friday at 13.00.

Only applicants who have been selected for participation will be able to attend the School. There is no registration fee.

Participants have to arrange and pay for their own travel to and from San Servolo island, Venice.

ECNP offers a CDE Travel Subsidy to participants resident in a European country with a developing economy (CDE*). This subsidy aims to support participants with their travel expenses for the ECNP School. The CDE Travel Subsidy should be requested via e-mail, the deadline to do this is 10 February 2022.
*CDE-countries within Europe are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia-FYR, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine.
