The ECNP School of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychopharmacology has been established to encourage and spread excellence in clinical neuropsychopharmacology among child and adolescent psychiatrists. The school was held in Venice, Italy, from 31 March until 5 April 2019.
The school provided a unique opportunity to 49 participants ((36 females, 13 males) from 28 countries (21 are from CDE countries – 12 CDE countries represented) to interact with an international faculty of 18 experts (13 males, 5 females; from 8 different countries) in basic and clinical paediatric neuropsychopharmacology, over a span of one week.
Participants were selected by the chair of the School, with two to three potential candidates per country, on the basis of their career potential. For those selected, the accommodation costs were covered by ECNP.
