New approaches to psychiatric drug development

ECNP invites you to attend our upcoming innovation meeting on 'New approaches to psychiatric drug development', to be held on 12-13 March 2017, in Nice, France.

This meeting will bring neuroscientists, clinicians, industry and regulators together to bridge the translational gaps between novel targets, CNS functions and clinical phenomena.

For more information, including the programme and registration, visit our website.

The registration deadline is 15 December.

ECNP in depth interviews

ECNP in depth is a new initiative with a series of interviews that ECNP is planning with key people in the field, looking at their work and what it says about the future of applied neuroscience. We have assembled a nice range of stories already, among which:

Applying the without to within in bipolar disorder, with John Geddes

The role of MDMA in the future of psychotherapy, with Harriet de Wit

‘Brain food’ - the neurobiology of appetite and addiction, with Suzanne Dickson

View all interviews. More interviews and articles will follow in 2017.

BBSRC-ECNP school on research reproducibility

ECNP and the British Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) are offering a five-day residential course on advanced methods for reproducible science, to be held from 7-12 April 2017 at Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park, United Kingdom. ECNP is sponsoring ten places for European applicants.

The course is tailored for early-career researchers and intended to raise awareness of the problem of low reproducibility across many scientific disciplines, and various methods that can be used to address this problem.

For more details and to apply, visit the School of Experimental Psychology website.

ECNP in Brazil

This November ECNP participated for the first time in the 34th Brazilian Congress of Psychiatry in São Paulo with an exhibition booth. Many people visited the stand for a chat, questions about membership or ECNP activities.

During the meeting, there was a special promotion to win free registration to the 30th ECNP Congress in Paris, 2-5 September 2017.

We are very pleased to announce the winner of the free registration: Dr. Rodrigo Luiz F. de Freitas from Uberlândia, Brazil.
