BioMed Alliance

BioMed Alliance launches its Code of Conduct

The Alliance for Biomedical Research in Europe (BioMed Alliance), a collaboration between 20 leading European medical societies, including ECNP, has launched its Code of Conduct.

By codifying the core principles by which healthcare professionals and scientific organisations interact with the healthcare sector, the Code seeks to enhance independence and objectivity, and contribute to maintaining Europe’s high standards of scientific research and patient care. ECNP played an integral role, with ECNP serving on the task force that drafted the Code.

Consensus statement on European brain research launched

The European Brain Council (EBC) has launched its consensus statement on the state of European brain research outlining the needs and achievements of brain research in Europe and presenting proposals for future research programmes. The statement was prepared by EBC’s members and partners and in collaboration with over 100 European scientists and patient representatives, with ECNP’s participation being led by ECNP President Guy Goodwin. The statement, published in the European Journal of Neuroscience, can be accessed here, the accompanying white paper here.
