General Assembly of ECNP Members

The General Assembly of members is ECNP's highest deliberative body and the embodiment of one of the College's most fundamental member privileges: the right to vote and help shape ECNP's future.

The next General Assembly will take place during the 29th ECNP Congress on Monday 19 September (12.15 hrs) at the Austria Center Vienna.

Interview - Tom Insel

ECNP invited Tom Insel, Director of the US National Institute for Mental Health, to visit our annual Nice Workshop last March.

During the Workshop he addressed a packed audience of young researchers. Afterwards he spoke to Tom Parkhill, our press officer.

First 'Medicines Chest' publication

The ECNP Medicines Chest was launched to help researchers gain access to pharmacological tools held, but unused, by pharmaceutical companies. The Chest currently has eight compounds. It has also now produced its first publication:

Differences between magnetoencephalographic (MEG) spectral profiles of drugs acting on GABA at synaptic and extrasynaptic sites: A study in healthy volunteers.

By David Nutt*, Sue Wilson, Anne Lingford-Hughes, Jim Myers, Andreas Papadopoulos, Suresh Muthukumaraswamy
