Award recognises exceptional research contributions

We are pleased to announce Markus Heilig, Sweden, as the recipient of the 2020 ECNP Neuropsychopharmacology Award in clinical neuroscience.

The award recognises his outstanding achievements in advancing knowledge of the pharmacology and pharmacogenetics of addictive disorders and other stress-related conditions.

Markus Heilig will receive the award during the 33rd ECNP Congress where he will deliver the ECNP Neuropsychopharmacology Award lecture.

The award is granted each year, alternating between basic science and clinical research. The award is accompanied by a prize of €10,000, which the winner may share with junior collaborators.
