Poster presentation When is the deadline to submit my abstract?
The deadline to submit your abstract is 18 May 23.59 CEST (Central European Summer Time).

When and how will I know if I submitted my abstract correctly?

You will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail immediately after submitting your abstract. In addition, your submission will be confirmed by the ECNP Office via e-mail within two weeks after submission. If you have not received a confirmation within this period, please notify the ECNP Office via e-mail.

In which topics can I submit an abstract for poster presentation?

Can I upload an incomplete version of my abstract in the system and edit/change it before submitting?
Yes, it is possible to save a draft version of your abstract in the system by clicking on the "Save as draft" button on the overview page. The next time you log in to the abstract submission page, you can edit your existing draft or upload an updated version.
Please note: abstracts that have been saved are not yet submitted! To submit your abstract, you must click on the ‘Submit’ button on the overview page.

How do I enter the references of my abstract?
It is important to insert your references correctly. To quickly prepare the reference list of journal publications for your abstract we advise you to use citationmachine. View the guidelines on how to use citationmachine.

Can I make changes to my abstract after submission?
Before the deadline of 18 May you can ask the ECNP Office to reopen the submission. After the deadline, when abstracts are under review, no changes are allowed.

There is a mistake in my name and I am the presenting author
If you insert a name change request via My ECNP portal, we will make sure the changes are also edited in your abstract.

When and how will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
The abstract will be reviewed for presentation and publication if you have finalised your submission on or before 18 May 2021. An abstract that is not accepted for publication in our journal supplement can still be accepted for presentation at the congress. The presenting author will be informed of the decision of the scientific review committee before 20 July 2021.

Where can I find the congress abstracts?
The abstracts that have been accepted will be posted in the online programme, the ECNP app and if accepted for publication also printed in a supplement to the journal European Neuropsychopharmacology.

Are posters available on the ECNP website?
No, ePosters are only available via the online platform of the congress. The abstracts of the posters will be posted on the website before 1 September 2021.
